Sizzling Summer Chic on Kim Kardashian

Turn up the heat with this summers bold color pallet. Add deliciously juicy shades of peach, coral, hot tan, and juicy tangerine as seen on my girl Kim Kardashian. These luscious shades can warm up boring browns and nudes by simply brushing peach or apricot powder blush or eyeshadow into the eyes, cheeks, and even on the shoulders and chest. They can brighten up tired looking complexions, but when pared with beautiful bronzy browns, you've got a combination that is nothing less than sizzling hot! Another way to show off the seasons hot makeup shades...Apply a shear apricot lip gloss over a bare-lip, nude, red, or coral lipstick. You'll look like a sun goddess, effortlessly elegant, summer chic.

i love learning about new make up and i love kim's different make up looks and ideas. I did try to copy the ideas given but it ended up being so much make up. I kinda don't think the average person would wear all that. Any ideas to look flawless but natural and alittle easier looking.

thanks
julie

Thanks for sharing the products. Can you tell us how you did it?

To Ms. Khardashian and your family,
My name is Adrienne. I'm an ordinary common 9-5 working girl that had the pleasure of meeting your Father and speaking with him during the "you know who" trial only recently out of my own ignorance did I realize that the telivision show I flipped passed was about his girls, including your mom Kris. She also was condidered one of his girls when I spoke with him and FYI he sill so loved her regardless of what happened between the two. I asked him if he was married, only out of curiosity and he lowered his head and talked about a situation between him and your mom.

Thought to tell you what you may already know. All of you are beautiful, funny women that appear to enjoy life. Please dismiss anyone's negative attitudes about any of you guys. Jealously is simply at an all time high. It devastated me when I learned of Robert's death and because I'm nobody in the world of entertainment and wealth, I couldn't get any info about how to pay my respects. I knew he had children. I only knew that he had all girls. He always told me how beautiful his girls were and now that I have come out from the cave I obviously was in I see that he wasn't just saying it because you were his children but it is the truth. Keep in mind that your Father was the most poised, professional, cool attorney I had the pleasure to meet during my employment thus far. Most attorney's are nothing like he was. Please and Thank you usually does not exist within their vocabulary. Best Wishes.

What eyelashes is kim wearing?

Thanks for the comments, Adrienne: You should leave that message on Kim's Blog. I don't think she'll see it here and I'm not a Kardashian, but I'm sure they would love to get your message. Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe all have blogs you can leave your message there. As for the lashes, they are Long individuals.. You can re-create this look with any other lines who have the same juicy apricot and peach shades.

Steps:
1.blend all over with liquid bronzing gel for an all over sheer glow

2.Then apply your foundation, liquid, cream or powder will work

3.Dust on a peach, apricot or hot tan blush to the apples of the cheeks

4.Using a matte bronzing powder, blend over forehead, temples.across the nose, along the cheek bones and in to the neck and chest

5.blend a warm soft peach eyeshadow over the entire eyelid

6.use warm and chocolate browns to define the eyes. The key is to just lightly contour the crease not to smoke it out too much for day, and also let that warm peach shadow show through

7.I drew a line along the top of Kim's lash line and slightly brought it out

8.I blended the same brown shadow along the lower lash line

9.Coat and curled Kim's lashes and added a bunch of long individual eye lashes on to her own and applied lots of mascara.

10.to complete this look, it's all about the lip color,I found an amazing beigy peach lip color and added a bright orange sheer gloss

This is the look of the Summer!
Thanks for the comments and have a great Summer Ladies!!
xoxo Troy

Troy, you are amazing.

This loo is gorgeous. It's a look that I definitely use pretty much every day of the summer time.

I have a blush that I can recommend for the peachy/apricot color. It isn't drugstore, but maybe it will do? The one that I love and use often is "Peaches" from MAC cosmetics. It's more of a matte powder blush but it really brightens up the skin, and I find that it looks good on most complexions. ;)

As far as a lipstick, another perfect one for this look would be "Shh" from Victoria's Secret. It's a beautiful, apricot/coral color that isn't too bright. It looks very similar to Kim's, in fact. And, right now VS beauty products are 75% off. So, makeovermomma, you can try VS and see if they have any left. ;) I was sure to stock up on my favorite lippies from them. They were all $3 each!

I am obsessed with this look Troy. :) Kim looks flawless. Thans agan!

My friend just sent me this. You are incredibly talented -- there are almost no words to describe your level of skill and capability. Though I appreciate your tools what I really need is YOU, sitting on my dresser, every morning and evening to make me look 100%. Nevertheless, I thank you for your genius and creativity. You just inspired me to spend more money on products at Sephora, haha.

I'm a little confused - I can't find some of these products. Are they old? unreleased? What's the deal. (one example is the Lancome "Hip Hop Apricot" gloss).

Troy Jensen said...

Hey, thanks for the comments. As for the gloss,I switched it out as the gloss I used was a limited seasonal item. The gloss I put in it's place looks exactly the same, and it's available.. xo Troy

BTW, I apologize for being so rude and not telling you how much I absolutely LOVE this look and I appreciate your posting the info. :-)

Hi Troy, I love experimenting with my makeup and enjoy coming to your site to see your latest looks. You are a truly amazing makeup artist! I know Kim has said that she needs coverage for her dark circles and I have a similar skintone to her and suffer from the same problem. I was wondering what product you would recommend to conceal under-eye dark circles and achieve the luminous look Kim has in the picture. My problem seems the be that I can achieve full coverage with a basic concealer and dust it off with a loose powder but within a few hours it starts to look cakey. Would greatly appreciate any products you recommend for this problem!

Yasmine said...

Hi Troy. This look is absolutely amazing. I was wondering, are mango freeze and coral rush the exact colors you used to achieve Kim's look, or are they similar to the colors you used?

Anna S said...

Hi Troy,
Do you have any advice when it comes to lightening eyebrows? I naturally have very dark eyebrows just like Kim has (or had). I'd like to lighten mine just a bit to be a more softer brown like hers are, but I don't know how to achieve that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
