Harper's Bazaar cover: Jennifer Lopez

I was excited when I got the opportunity recently to work with the beautiful Jennifer Lopez. I did a couple events with her and some photo shoots - one of which was the cover of Harper's Bazaar Japan. I was really excited to see the cover as I remember the shoot was amazing. The clothes, hair, and the makeup worked really well with the way Jennifer moves so naturally in front of the camera. I wanted to also share with you the products I used in creating this look and hope that you love the cover as much as I do. I'm really proud of this shoot and feel I was really able to express myself creatively with her which made working with Jennifer Lopez a dream. I can't wait to hear what you think of my Harper's Bazaar cover and the look I created on Jennifer.

To create the look I gave Jennifer Lopez on the cover of Harper's Bazaar, check out the following products by Jouer and Shu Uemura

I like that you described what you did with the colors this time.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this pic was the look Kevyn Aucoin did transforming Christy Turlington into Marisa Berenson. Very pretty. I love how you have been using seafoam/teals lately.

And her make up is amazing.
I love the shades of teals.

I think this is a fun, flirty look that's perfect for summer. Even though she has on black liner, the eyeshadow keeps it light. I will definitely try to recreate this look. I love Jennifer and this look is too cute!

I seriously hope you are working on a book!

She looks great. I love the eyes! I've been really into blues/teals this spring, so I love seeing more looks featured with these colors. And those shu eyeshadows look awesome! I need to get them, although I do already have nars tropic. :-)

I like that you gave J. Lopez a more edgey makeup look! It's a refreshing change from the traditional smokey eye we see her in a lot. Great creativity from you as usual- I love how you share your artistic talent with us all, thank you Troy!!

This is a beautiful picture of Jennifer Lopez and I think it´s perfect for a japanese magazine, because it doesn´t show her really typical style. On the photo she looks well-bahaved an not as provocative as usually. You chose the right style for Japan.
And the make up is wunderful! She looks natural and coevally elegant.

Hi Troy,
I'm a devotee of your blog, and I would KILL to be able to have you do my makeup this summer for my wedding. Unfortunately, I live in Seattle, so you're too far away from me! I would be forever grateful, however, if you would let me know of any makeup artists up here who you'd recommend for me. My dream is to look as beautiful on my wedding day as your clients do when you work with them! I emailed Kent about this and then realized how cuckoo crazy that was of me, so I'm hoping that you'll get this li'l comment and have a sec to respond. Either way, thanks for the inspiration and I'm in awe of your talents!

Hey Wiggs,
I'm sorry I don't know anyone in your area. My suggestion would be to check out a few local salon's or make up counter artists that you can try out some looks before the big day...
Print or tear out your inspiration from magazines like Glamour,Instyle,Vogue,Allure, and top Wedding magazines, and take them in to your local salon to test some looks. You can also call local modeling agencies. They would have a list of make up and hair artist's that they use for test shoots with their models. They would even have portfolio's you can see if you like their work..
I hope that's some help, and good luck on your big day!!
My best
Troy

The look is beautiful and not too much glam. It's just right. I dont really see too many people look good in blue/teal eyeshadow they usually look cartoonish but you rock it and it looks beautiful! It helps to have a canvas like JLo 2!
